L4D2 Sign-Up thread

Looking through the L4D2 Funwar thread, it seems that quite a few people are interested in it. In fact, there's more people who'd like to play than spots available, since L4D2 can't be expanded like Renegade to hold everyone. So I'm proposing 2 random team Versus matches on different days, so that everyone gets at least 1 chance to play. All the times are on Saturdays, 21:00 GMT (The same time and day we have our Renegade funwars). Sign up for at least 2 days, and whichever 2 get 8 players first, those will be the dates.

Damn it, I screwed up the poll. August 22 should be August 29, so, just pretend it is.

We'll have a few (we'll see how many we can fit in, but probably around 3) matches of normal versus with random teams each match. Since we only have about 10 people playing L4D2, everyone playing on one night will all be in the same game.

you havent responded yet but i will point that one out:

what you suggest is a versus game ... wow, not much tournament in it, is it?

on the tournament any amount of people can play, as long as it is "x times 4" -> lets say we get 12 players -> 3 teams:

1. date: team a - team b -> play versus map x
2. date: team a - team c -> play versus map x
3. date: team b - Team c -> play versus map x

then the same again just with a different map

lets say: every 100 points lead in the final score = 1 point

in the end we have a ladder and a winner

another advantage: dates dont have to be arranged at a certain time where MOST people can play, teams can just play whenever their team-members can arrange a date

i dont want to sound "you talked shit and i is own" but i think that what you suggested isnt much of a tournament think

That could be because I'm not proposing a tournament. I thought it'd be a good idea to first get in some experience of playing with and against n00bless players. While we've all done a few matches here and there with each other, we've never gone (as far as I know) n00bless vs n00bless in L4D2. That's also why I'm suggesting random teams each match, so players can see how they work together.

Your idea for a L4D2 tournament sounds great though. I'd personally like to give that a shot after the random matches are done.

I know this is rather late signing up and such, but do you by any chance mean to say August 22=August 28? Every other date is a Saturday, and the 29th is a Sunday :p
