Ren X?

Hey im hearing alot of talk about this Ren X thing.
So far i have picked up that its some sort of UT3 based anti-cheat. Is this going to effect the server majorly? And should i go and buy UT3 of steam?
Love someone to clear me and anyone else up on the topic.

RenX is a mod for UT3; a conversion of a sort of Renegade to UT3.

I'm downloading UT3 right now to try out the beta.

It rocks imo. Don't listen to the nubs. I haven't even seen any of them playing it. And no, 30 min of playing isn't giving something a chance. Although Hex has tried he just can't seem to get it to work.

Whatever though my laptop couldn't handle it anyways. ren is ren and always will be.

Went and bought the UT3 then dl the RENX patch and updated it. Played for an hour and still cant figure out how to detonate the remote c4. I like the graphics and the layout is the same but there seems to be an ackwardness about the game and definetly still needs some more refinements. Should be a good game once its done.
