And one special for those who think running the game on Vista 64 could be a problem.

Looks cool. Is the final version out yet?
Also, are there flying vehicles. If so, the ladders could be troublesome. Could be as much of a disaster as the elevators in the WF in APB. :rolleyes:
No, no public beta yet. But as you can see, it's looking better and better.

You should see some of the screen shots. There is one where Renardin is firing a shotgun. The picture he took is so high res, that on the back of the shotgun shell, there are the words shotgun shell. Its insane. It is very close to being done... for real this time. There is mostly just bug testing now.
balancing, bugs are mostly sorted.
I am currently working on a map for the public release.

I'm not really hanging out for reborn, I've seen some demos on youtube and they don't look very convincing. It seems the bases are huge and really spaced out, the fields are enormous, so it takes ages to get to their base, and it also looks like they've made infantry useless...:(

Have you even been to the reborn forums?
That isn't the case, because some of the maps in that game are freaking tiny. The infantry isn't underpowered because the Reborn team has done a helluva job balancing it.
Or are you thinking of the 2003 version? That is what most of the videos are from.

sorry for sounding noobish but what is reborn going to be?
is it a scin-package that makes the whole renegade look different, is it a map+skins addon one can download and play IN ADDITION to renegade? or is it a new game based on renegade one has to download or even buy?
it'll be pretty much the same as renalert i guess
it's a mod for renegade that'll turn it into tiberium sun version of renegade
so it's not just skins that change but the units itself aswel along with the buildings and stuff
i wonder how many megabytes its gonna be
is it possible to have the other renegade (the old one) version as well, or will i never be able to play with the good old looks then?

My preferred resolution is 1280x1024 and darkpsych's message fills the entire screen under those settings. I see no reason to make my resolution any higher. :)

No, you cannot do this with any total conversion, only with .pkg files (IF the other players have downloaded the same file). You should note Reborn isnt a total conversion - its a STAND ALONE GAME. meaning its 100% individual.

You could uninstall Renegade, install reborn and sucessfully run Reborn without Renegade being installed. It's just like APB in that respect. btw, it should be coming out Febuary. Honest.
